I took this early this morning in the metro parks. There were fly fisherman everywhere. I am not sure how to crop this. Here are two more from after our morning trail run-very frosty this morning!

I really like the crop as is; I find all the space gives it a sense of peace. The only thing I think that could go is the little twig on the top left hand corner. Looks like a beautiful spot!

I also think the tree limb in the upper left hand corner could go and I am wondering if you could bring the highlights down just a bit? It really looks cold.
I really like the frosty one but think a tighter crop removing the out of focus frost would make it look stronger.

I agree, I like the crop the way it is on the first image. Get rid of the limb and you are all set.

I only want to comment on the fly-fishing scene. Sure, get rid of the twig but otherwise so perfect that thousands of hours of casting a fly on placid stream and lake have come flooding back and there must be pollen in the air as my eyes are damp.
Thank you for sharing this Elaine.

Thanks! I am going to try again to get rid of the darn twig. Had trouble doing last night, but will give it another go. Do any of you think the highlights on the water are too bright? I adjusted the levels and warmed this up a lot.

And Peter, glad to post something meaningful to you.

I really like the peaceful quality to this one! :~) I agree the composition you have here works very well. I am curious as to what a square crop would look like taking all off the bottom. Sometimes when cloning it helps to zoom way in.

Hi-I cloned out the twig, now it looks like a tree. Not the best cloning job, but it was a bit difficult getting the area to blend in. I also tried the square crop, and I like the effect, it is really different. Let me know what you think!

Thanks for the input!
