This image and story are a total delight! Would you be from Australia? I haven't seen custard apples since we visited! In Niagara, we have the many techniques for birds and the grapes that are held for the cold weather to make ice wine. It involves nets and machines that make gun noises.

Yes, Marilyn, I do live in Australia! :) The farms here use the nets and machines to keep away the birds, but these trees are just in our back yard, so, the guns wouldn't do, and the fruit only lasts a few days, so probably wouldn't be worth the trouble. :)
