Roof Runner
This is actually a Greater Roadrunner (Geococcyx californianus) which is a large, ground-dwelling cuckoo with brown and white streaks. They have a long, heavy, bill, and a conspicuous bushy crest and a long, white edged tail. I have rarely seen these bird fly or get to high places. Spotted this bird first on a power wire outside my office today then he flew and walked around the roof. Fortunately I had my powershot camera with me.

Great Roadrunner high on wire
These birds are rare to see in the city. They are desert ground dwellers and also it is rare to see them fly or get to high places. Fortunately I had my travel camera with me
