Roof Runner

Uploaded: September 01, 2013

Description

This is actually a Greater Roadrunner (Geococcyx californianus) which is a large, ground-dwelling cuckoo with brown and white streaks. They have a long, heavy, bill, and a conspicuous bushy crest and a long, white edged tail. I have rarely seen these bird fly or get to high places. Spotted this bird first on a power wire outside my office today then he flew and walked around the roof. Fortunately I had my powershot camera with me.

Exif: F Number: 5.6, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/200 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 160, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 66.59 mm, Model: Canon PowerShot SX50 HS

He can run but he can't hide from you with that trusty camera Emile. That did surprise me to see it on the wire and then the roof of the house. Works out for you as the colors and shapes of the tiles make a fantastic background for the features and colors of the road runner. I really enjoy how sharp and clear the picture is my friend. Outstanding. #10829030
