The Main Street replacement bridge in Columbus, Ohio, spans the Scioto River and reportedly is the first in North America to be built with an inclined arch superstructure(David P., feel free to correct me if I'm wrong)!! Back to cold and snow here today - have a wonderful Thursday, everyone!

You're right Monnie, when completed it was the first inclined single-rib tied arch design in the US and one of five worldwide.

I'm ashamed to say that of all (100s) shots I've taken of this bridge I've never taken this one,:(

Perfectly framed and captured!! Love It!!

Next time you get that close to my house let me know. I'm about three minutes away.:)

Like David said PERFECTLY DONE .... Going into NYC to work for 5 years I'm used to seeing rusted , paint pealing bridges covered in pigeon poop !! This looks as if it were just washed waxed and buffed out ...

Cold snap done here I have on a long sleeve sweat shirt and showers are happening on & off .

Jack

Interesting bridge and POV. I would like it to be a bit colder here. Close to 40 in daytime then just under freezing at night, so ICE!

Wonderful contrast between the smooth lines of the bridge framed by the tangled trees.
