Description

The Main Street replacement bridge in Columbus, Ohio, spans the Scioto River and reportedly is the first in North America to be built with an inclined arch superstructure(David P., feel free to correct me if I'm wrong)!! Back to cold and snow here today - have a wonderful Thursday, everyone!

You're right Monnie, when completed it was the first inclined single-rib tied arch design in the US and one of five worldwide.

I'm ashamed to say that of all (100s) shots I've taken of this bridge I've never taken this one,:(

Like David said PERFECTLY DONE .... Going into NYC to work for 5 years I'm used to seeing rusted , paint pealing bridges covered in pigeon poop !! This looks as if it were just washed waxed and buffed out ...

Cold snap done here I have on a long sleeve sweat shirt and showers are happening on & off .
