I drove up Camelback Mountain this morning to try at photograph the eclipse which unfortunately just fizzled. So driving back down to the main road, I looked south at some unnamed small peaks, and this backlit scene unfolded before me. I pulled over and shot right from inside my car. I noticed afterwards when on my monitor that there were some birds have a morning formation flight! So this made up for the fizzled eclipse.

Canon 70-200mm/f2.8, handheld single shot, no filters. Standard post-production in Photoshop CS5.
