It isn't Mt Kidd ITSELF but if you are leaving the camp ground as you drive out it is THIS Rocky that a person sees straight ahead. I pointed it out to you guys but that day we pointed out so many things. :) The rumbles and thunders were amazing to hear. You'd have loved it. The snow was FAR too FAR away to hurt anyone. Stunning image of the Rockies, Laura! I love the crop and vivid colors! That must have been something to experience, even far away. Have always wanted to go to the Canadian Rockies and experience the beauty first-hand. I've been out West here in the U.S. and skiiing in the Alps (where there are lots of avalanche warnings), but have never been near one up close and personal, thank heavens. Anyway, maybe one day I'll make it...on my list!

Hi Rona and Tammers - YES! It really was exciting. At first we thought it was a huge thunder storm but opened the trailer door to see these beautiful blue skies...THEN WE SAW an avalanche on the MTN and KNEW what was going on then! The rest of the day was spend in awe! Even the smallest of avalanches were VERY loud since we were in a VALLEY of ROCKIES! Hope you guys make it here someday! It's so beautiful! Thanks for the visit and your great comments!!! :D
