Weighed in on the original thread, Jessica. Thanks for your persistence. I am so very disappointed.

Interesting. I had just sent an e-mail letting them know how I felt about the tacky ads. I didn't know about this (or the previous) thread. I was unaware that besides being tacky, that they actually covered up finalist images. It's just really odd that there is no response regarding this.

Interesting, I just had this page checked for invalid code. http://validator.w3.org/

64 Errors, 7 warning(s)

I wonder if the ads are meant to be there lol. That page with the finalists had 122 errors and 60 warnings.

Pat, what does all of that mean?

Jessica, thank you for being tenacious about this thread. Evidentely BP is wanting us to just forget about the situation by removing each thread. Obviously they've heard us and their responce is to delete the threads...

Good for you, Jessica! It would take them 2 minutes to say "we're fixing it, or we're not fixing it". So why don't they???

It seems they've fixed the problem: now they display only 11 images on every page (before they claimed to display 12, but one of them was covered by an ad).

Hi Joannie, go up to "View" on your toolbar, go down to "Source" and look at the code. That's what I am referring to.

If a designer gets it wrong the page doesn't display as it should. 64 errors and 12 warnings of bad coding (HTML) the ads may not be where they are supposed to be.

Easily done, I just did a page and the title is down the bottom of the page (sigh) LOL. !!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like it got fixed!

It does seem to be fixed..It's still UGLY, but at least nothing is covered up. And it would still be nice if somebody would speak!

Yes, I just commented on the old thread that the problem seemed to be fixed. I am just really surprised that BP would take down threads. As a paying member here, I should be able to express an opinion whether it be positive or negative. I do not think that threads should be removed unless they contain vulgar language or become attacks against members. Also, I would think in the length of time it took BP to remove the threads that they could have said something like "We appreciate our loyal members and do not want to raise prices, so we are using new ads to keep the prices the same. Currently there is a problem with ads covering entries but this will soon be rectified." If they can send mass emails about 2-for-1 deals, etc., then it would have only taken a few minutes to send out an email about this, or they could have left a message on the thread. Seems a simple way to deal with the issue instead of trying to hunt down and squash complaints.
