Countdown to Mar. 08 Results

Greetings fellow BP Contest Enthusiasts! Once again, the 15th is upon us, and like last month's ides of March, a sour note may accompany today's date (at least in the USA)--tax filing. I say, take a few minutes' break from that onerous task, and imagine the satisfying gleam of your precious metals---the BP Silver & Gold that Uncle Sam can't touch, that we all hope to accumulate! Break out the good chocolates, pour a tall cold one, and as always... (say it with me)... call down the lucky hambone/chickenbone chant. Settle in as we eagerly count down to the March results, due later this month. All are welcome!
Share here with us that one photo you entered, that you felt was your best or favorite entry of the month, regardless of EFP status. The one special image you are most proud of, or the one that just makes you smile. One gentle reminder: Please refrain from posting half a dozen of your entries; narrow your focus (so to speak) to that one excellent, meaningful, or otherwise favorite Contest image of yours. Best of luck, to all the Contestants!

Helpful hints, re: Attaching photos into Forum Threads:

1) Sign into BP completely (name + password.)

2) If you have NOT YET entered the Contest today, you can use the "Photo ID" to pull an existing image from your Member Center into your reply to this thread (avoiding a duplicate image upload.) Get the Photo ID# from your Member Center, come to back this thread, click Respond, enter the text of your reply, then choose "1" from the images-to-attach drop-down. Click Submit; at the next screen populate the "Photo ID" box at the right. Skip the other fields on that screen.

3) If you HAVE ALREADY entered the Contest today before replying to this thread, you can't use the Photo ID method today. You can either wait until tomorrow to reply here (before your new Contest entry!) or, upload a new copy of the particular image (from your PC) into this thread. This produces a duplicate image in your Member Center; however, you don't have to make that duplicate visible in your Gallery.

4) If you're uploading a duplicate, maybe title it "For Forum" so it stands out in your Member Center, for easier housecleaning later... This can help direct viewers to find the original image in your gallery, when they want to leave a comment. Likewise, if you want to add a comment to a photo seen here, try to tell if it is a duplicate upload. As a courtesy, try to find the original image in the member's gallery and leave your comment there instead of on the duplicate---that way, if the duplicate is deleted later, the comment history isn't lost.

I didn't have an end result in mind until partway through my experimentation,
as I saw this wonderfully glowing effect start to take shape.
In PSE2 created about 5 Layers, testing different effects on each layer.
Used Multiply, Screen and Lighten along with different Opacities for each.
One layer was extreme Gausian Blur. (Thanks, Sipho!)
Another was Levels and Enhance Saturation.
I was exploring and undoing so many things, I've probably left a step out!

March's entries were just a handful of resubs for me, with suggestions from Nikki... This has always been a favorite, from my early point-and-shoot days, first exploring Photoshop Elements!
