Description

Leading Lines are a compositional technique that directs the viewers eyes to your subject. This can be natural or man-made forms. In this case the bottom rail of the steps & the pickets under the handrail point to the cat. The beams of light also directs the eyes to the subject. There were tree limbs that also lead to the subject but the background had too much light through the limbs & was distracting. So I used the Adamski effect to elongate the tree limbs & vertically blur the right side of the image.... I had no ideas or desire this week, so I just walked through the yard & hoped something would pop up. 'Gulliver Travel' saved the day by posing on the steps. It really does take having the camera in your hands to find what you are looking for. F 3.50 1/50 iso 100 @18mm
