Stairway to HELL!

Uploaded: March 21, 2013

Description

---
At Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia (now a museum). This is a closeup of the rapidly decaying stairway leading to the second floor of Cell Block 7 (see another photo in the discussion area).
----
There is something almost beautiful about the peeling paint and copper oxidation.

Learning Opportunity. This visit to ESP was a meetup of the camera club of which I am a member.
---
Our meetup organizer (right) spent most of the time helping a new member understand his camera's manual settings in the complex conditions on the second floor of Cell Block 7.

Michelle you are so lucky to have a camera club and friends to shoot with. Isolated in West Texas I shoot mostly alone and feel like I am in that cell block 7. Great eye and presentation. Always admire your talents. #10622465
