Will shooting film be out in the next few yrs. To Better Photo, Is it true that all the labs that process film are starting to close and that companys aren't going to make the chemicals for processing. EPA cracking down etc.. I heard that in about 3 years all the film thats produced will be sent over seas and if you want to shoot film you'll have to buy it from over seas and have it sent back here. What do you know about this subject. Thanks S. Justin

While international rivals Eastman Kodak Co. and Fuji Photo Film Co. revamp their film divisions to cope with the digital camera craze, Agfa is abandoning its historic roots and selling its consumer photography unit to managers for 175.5 million euros ($281.5-million). Agfa made almost one in 10 of the rolls of film sold across the world last year. Looks like the writing is on the wall!

9 of 10 of those rolls were probably only from kodak and fuji. so the smaller film companies may indeed give up. Scotch/3M may give up film, but it never was a good film anyway. Besides they have other things they are into There's other things besides digital that affect who's going to stay in film producing. Not as major, but silver prices, and environmental.
