Photography Question

Sarah-jane Laubscher

photoshop cloning tool

I am trying to clone from one photo to another, but I am having a problem with the image size. The first image is too large to fit into the other. How can I change the size of the first photo so that it looks normal in the second photo. Changing the image size does not seem to help and also results in 2 different resolutions. Please somebody help me.

Thanks
Sarah

  Sarah,
Resolution in your images is finite. That is, as you make one image larger, you will not reveal more detail. Resolution will be increased by a process of interpolation, which is essentially the computer guessing at what should be in the image.

The reason I bring up resolution first is that if you are trying to clone from a lower resolution image to a higher resolution, you will likely glaze over details even if you enhance the resolution of the smaller image. It really depending on the quality (sharpness) of the image and what you are trying to achieve.

Can you define more clearly what you are trying to do and post the images here so we can see?

Thanks!

Richard Lynch
