Diffuilt Client Help I have encountered my first "Bridzilla". Let me tell you the first thing that came out of her mouth when we sat down to talk about the details of the wedding, "Unfortunately for you I am a photographer as well so I am going to probably see everything wrong with your photos". I later found out photography is not in fact her carrier. I had brought my camera that day to take some test shots of the church and she now wants me to send them to her via email to see if she likes them. One more example we had been commutating via email due to logistic and in our final email she said I like one of your packages so lets sit down and talk about the details of the wedding. I was under the impression that I was hired. When we sat down to talk they impression was completely different. I still am fairly new to the wedding world so I'm not sure if I should drop her as a client(no contract or estimate has been signed yet) because I know She will not like any of the photos that I produce? or keep just to build my portfolio and try my best to deal with the aftermath. I don't want my reputation to be ruin.

Get out...NOW !!!! You don't have an agreement until you've got a signed, written contract along with a deposit. This woman sounds like real trouble. Find another client. Just tell her you're suddenly booked for that date (she waited too long to make up her mind...sort of) OR, you just don't think it's a good match. Adios Mark

I agree with Mark - how dare she say "she will probably see everything wrong with your photos". Yep, just tell her you have now been booked for that date, even better, say it is a family wedding, and that way she can't complain (as much....)

This lady sounds like trouble. I personally would stay clear of doing that wedding. It sounds to me like she's the type that wouldn't be happy with any photographer, no matter how much experience the person had.

I would also think it a good idea (with her or any other client) to be sure if you DO ever email images--only email low-resolution/small images, and splash a semi-transparent copyright logo over the image...?

Thanks everyone for the great advice. I decided to drop her as a client. I will be able to breath easier and concentrate on my upcoming weddings where the brides were great. Melissa.S
