Pictures in View Mode

Fuji F700, only used once before. Everytime I take a picture a BIG white blob shaped like a rectangle (lens flare?) appears on every picture in view mode. Haven't printed or viewed from computer. What would make this happen? Settings or internal problem?

My F700 is doing about the same thing now. A large white oval is in the center and/or a white cloudy frame is around the image. Video clips were still normal.
