Photography Question

Shoot JPEG's or RAW Images?

Some time ago, there was a discussion about the merits of shooting JPEG's versus RAW capture mode.

For additional insights on this topic, you can find two articles in the BetterPhoto Blog Instructor Insights. http://insights.betterphoto.com/

The first was posted May 20 (GET THE BEST IMAGES THAT YOUR DIGICAM CAN PRODUCE - about shooting in JPEG capture mode.)

The second (covering RAW capture mode) was posted May 26.

Both (with more photos) are also available at www.betterphoto.com/allAbout.php

Hey Mr.B, whats your take on RAW being better than JPEG. I don't spend alot of time with RAW photos but I do have alot of nik filters and plugins that make batch processing a breeze. Makes a big differnece to me, but I guess that goes with being a Professional

Jus: Well, I wrote both of the articles mentioned in my earlier note.

Both JPEG and RAW are great, but RAW has some advantages and drawbacks.

The Part II article says it all.

Cheers! Peter Burian, www.peterkburian.com
