Noisy Pictures-HELP

I just started using RAW and I love it, however, a lot of my pictures seem to have quite a bit of noise. I see it most when I am using my 70-300mm lens. The ISO is on either 200 or 400. I turne the NR on for long exp. but I still see a lot of noise. What am I doing wrong. Any help would be great! Thanks!

Can you post some pictures as examples? Some people's idea of 'noisy' is very subjective.

How long are the exposures? Are we talking a couple seconds or a couple minutes?

Neat Image has a great free download to reduce noise. So does Noise Ware. google them and try it out!
