How to shoot in focus pictures

Have canon digital rebel. I've returned it to the factory 4 times because the pictures aren't crisp and focused. It's more like a soft blue, every time I shoot. They say there's nothing wrong then clean it and sometimes replace parts. It back AGAIN & I still can't get good sharp pictures.
Got any ideas?

Even if you take a picture of a stationary thing, like a brick wall?

  Greetings,

Gregory has got a good test situation for you. Set the camera on a tripod, focus on a brick wall and take the picture using a cable release.

A couple of questions to help narrow down what is happening, and someone might be able to give a precise answer.

What lens(es) are you using?
Is the autofocus mode on?
Have you tried manually focusing?
Are you using the camera hand held or on a tripod?
Are you verifying that the autofocus points are flashing red on the point you wish to have in focus?

Can you upload an example picture, that to can help, as someone might have had the same symptoms and can jump in with an 'A-HA I have it' message.

Good Luck.
Robert

Hello I have the same camrea but its outfocus really cant guarantree the corect focus, you need to make sure that the camera is focusing on the right portion of image, make sure that the camera is selecting the right AF point so your subject will be sharply or you can select AF point manually or in manual mood or lock the focus on the subject and recompose the photo. and when you in manual mood always make sure with the right ISO and WB . Other thing you might want to check in your setting is the processing parameter and have it set to the your desire setting it should all be in the manuall on how to set it to what you want the reslat , not sure if would help but it might be worth it to check it out and see what happed I Usully use the between parameter 1 or Adobe RGB Sine I like to play round with PS or you can set your own , good luck .
