Photography in Bad Weather I saw a photographer shoot in the rain with what looked like a nylon or other waterproof-type material shaped around his camera and his lens. The material was black and was adhered to his lens hood by Velcro. Does anyone know where to purchase this type of protection? Even the eyepiece had a small opening, and it looked like he could easily zip open the SLR body to replace batteries, etc. Thanks.

The rain covers protect the camera well, but not the photographer, and they are overpriced IMHO. I use a clear shower curtain with velcro to attach the top of it to the lens hood. I then put an elastic band around that for extra security. The rest of it goes back to cover the camera and photographer quite well with plenty of room for movement. Works great with a tripod or monopod.
