Remove Red Eye in PS Elements 2.0

HELP! I'm trying to learn PS Elements 2.0. So far I'm loving it. But I've been trying to correct red-eye, and although I think I'm doing everything it says, it just isn't working! Instead of turning the red part black, it turns it light grey (which makes for spooky looking eyes). I've adjusted the amount (even to 100%) and it still isn't dark enough. Can someone give me a hint! I know I'm just missing one little step... Thanks so much! Have a great weekend!

I had the same problem; I do not know how to fix it using the red-eye tool. I usually just select the red part of the eye with the maigic wand, and then go to brightness/contrast to turn it black. I then blur the area slightly to make it look more natural.

Hope this helps!
