Depth of Focus


Could anyone please explain depth of focus?

  Your DOF or Depth of Field is what is in focus from front to back in a photograph. It ties in with the camera's aperture, which is the size of the opening that lets light into the camera. Shallow DOF comes from larger apertures, and Deep DOF would come from smaller apertures...

Depth of field and depth of focus are two different things. I understand the former. Depth of focus, however, has something to do with the range of acceptible convergence when light rays come to a point. I don't know much about it at all (that's why I asked the question!)
