So what is the story? It would only take a little "horse sense" to realize one cant' park there without dropping a quarter or two. :o) Remember the challenge must include the story.

But what if the meter just ran out? So guess I will look for another one.

No, this is fine, I'm just teasing. How did the horse happen to be at the curb and where is the driver?

Great find, Beth! I also wondered where the driver was.

It is good to see something very different on here and excellantly shot too. The name on the brick building says it well Beth!

Old Meets New
The horse and sleigh (with wheels) amidst normal traffic. The heater was a bit old fashioned on the sled.

Winter Lawn Furniture
Dale, how would you like to have a set of chairs like this? Just think how cool the drinks could stay!

Hey guys, there was a Winterfest in Oakland, Md. this weekend, lots of ice carvings and some other activities. Pleasant Valley Dream Rides, was giving free sleigh rides up and down the main street, really beautiful horse but kind of out of place. Anyway, the fire whistles went off and the driver parked? him at the curb and tied him to the meter until the fire dept., ambulance and law enforcement went through. I just thought it was funny he was at the expired meter and wondered if he would get a ticket. The driver was close by, I'll put a few more on here. Peter it it cool you caught the building sign.
