Q: What does an Online Photography Course Look like?
A: When you take a course you get access to a course campus square. From the campus square you can upload photos for assignments, view lessons, ask questions in a forum, see photo critiques, and more.

Q: Does a professional instructor really look at my photos and give personalized feedback?
A: Yes! You will receive personal comments from the instructor on each of your uploaded your photo assignments. You can also comment on photos from other students in the course and see those instructor comments. Just like a real classroom, learning works best when great instructor, materials, assignments, and students work together.
Q: What sort of time commitment does a course require?
A: Each Wednesday during the course you will receive a lesson with an assignment attached. You have 7 days to complete the assignment in a 4 week course and 10 days in an 8 week course. You can upload your lesson any time during that period. However, we know everyone is busy and our instructors are very flexible. Instructors will gladly critique your photos even if you fall behind by a week or two.
Q: What skill level are the other students who take courses?
A: We have 80+ courses that range in skill level from beginning to advanced. Many students have just purchased their first camera and others are seasoned professionals who make a living from photography. You can browse our course catalog by skill level. The goal for the instructor is to help each student improve their current photography skills. You can expect the tone of our instructors and students to be helpful and encouraging, not cruel or conceited.
