Lots of macros and close-ups here. The Nikon 4500 is great for these and the swivel body allows for some interesting angles (without swiveling MY body). But what I like about macros is that the camera allows me to see things that my eyes normally cannot. It's always exciting to put small images on the big screen for first time.
Part II: I recently bought a Sony H1 and a tele converter lens. As with the macros, it's always fun to see what my eyes can't, and in the case of the H1, it's like a telescope. I can't over-state how much fun this camera is. Wonderful tool. I hope to be able to capture a lot of wildlife.

I live in the Adirondack Mountains of northern NY State with my two teenage daughters, three cats and a dog. Digital photography has been a wonderful creative outlet (and inlet), and another way to enjoy my surroundings. After canoeing, hiking or skiing, I feel like I'm bringing a little bit of nature indoors with me when I download the images that I've "captured".
BetterPhoto is an outstanding community of photographers, and I'm proud to be in such good company.
