I have a degree in art education and art has always been my passion. I even had a small business painting wall murals in the States before we came overseas. And I have ALWAYS been a shutterbug...especially when my three little ones came along. Once I got into digital, my interest in photography really took off. Instant feedback allowed me to immediately correct my settings when needed. I took some courses, read everything I could get my hands on and joined BP where I have learned so much. Since I started with my Fuji 3800, I have since upgraded several times - to a Fuji s7000, then a Canon 300D, and then when that baby gave out on me, I went all the way to a 5D which I currently shoot. I have been selling my work through several stock agencies since 2004 and find my work in a variety of places - from magazines to websites to blogs. Some pieces have been used for motivational posters in corporations and fine art pieces in model homes.
Now I am back in the good ol' USA and once I am settled hope to post more of the work I have done lately here again. I have missed being a part of BP (as Jan Stadelmyer) and can't wait to get back into the contests and comments and see everyone's work!
