Here are some of my favourite photos. I enjoy photographing people in a natural setting and nature's beauty, from landscapes, seascapes & mountains to the tiniest detail of a flower or insect. You will also see some of the wildlife & people photos from my world travels.

Bio

I've been a hobby photographer since my teen years when I proudly used my first camera, a Kodak 'Brownie', to record a family trip to the Grand Canyon. Since then the technology has changed, but my enthusiasm for photography has not. For many years, I lived in the point and shoot world, moving from film cameras to slide film to the digital world. Retirement in 2008 allowed me the time to pursue my photography even more seriously and I took the plunge and bought a DSLR. Life hasn’t been the same since. A whole new world of possibilities opened up, and here I am, getting very serious about taking my love of photography to a new level.

My travels have taken me to many parts of the world with abundant wildlife, four times to Africa now, but also many great wilderness areas of North America. People everywhere fascinate me and it’s never long before I have the camera out hoping to capture the essence of the people I meet and places I visit.

Where will this incredible journey take me next? I don’t know, but photography gives me great joy in life.

I shoot with a Canon EOS 7D. Lenses: 18-200mm, f/2.8 70-200mm L IS + 1.4X extender, f/2.8 100 mm macro, 10-20 mm wide angle, and a Tamron150-600 mm superzoom. More recently, I purchased a Sony A6000 with two lenses to try out the mirrorless world.
