I like to shoot the outdoors and animals. They tend to give a better challenge for the best shot. I will go hiking or traveling to get the shot I want. I live in a great place for it in the North Carolina mountains.
I have returned from Iraq and chomping at the bit to get some new material to shoot. I will be throwing in some images from Iraq here and then but they'll be going up in a gallery soon enough for everyone to view.

I am really a graphic artist but I am also a published photographer. I have my pictures in a couple of newspapers every week. I got started because I needed a change from the regular graphics world. I have had formal classes in college but never really took it to the next level.
I love the outdoors,animals,shapes and any picture that interests me. I have a goal of getting my photos on the web. I shoot with a Canon 30D with a Sigma 28-80 Macro lens, Sigma 28-300 Hyperzoom lens, Sigma 50-500 and a Canon Telephoto EF 135mm lens. I also carry a Canon A70 powershot for quick shots and this camera is a veteran of the Iraq war. I plan on furthering my education and making it work for me by having my own business. I currently have a new website called mtnsnapshots.com and post most of my work there.
