I love photographing flowers especially using my macro lens. I also enjoy architecture and nature.
I try to express my artistic abilities to create abstracts by looking for the unusual element of what I am photographing.
I have become fairly proficient in using Photoshop Elements software to create "artwork" with my photographs.

Pat Exum is a photographer known for her macro images and her creative abstracts. Pat became serious about photography after joining a camera club and finding that photographers are very friendly people who are always willing to share their experiences, techniques and photography knowledge to help others. She uses mostly Nikon digital cameras. Pat is proficient in using photo editing software and computers. She creates her artistic abstracts from her original images by digital manipulation in Photoshop, although some of her abstracts are found natural abstracts.
Pat loves visiting gardens no matter where she travels and especially enjoys photographing flowers, nature and architecture. Pat says, "It is amazing the different things you see when you get really close up to a beautiful flower when doing macro photography."
Pat has two grown sons and resides in Mt Pleasant, SC with her husband. Pat and her husband moved to the Charleston, SC area in September 2008 and loves it. After living in Northern Virginia for many, many years the change in the mild climate during the winter months is quite nice.
