When I retired, I took off across Canada in an RV, fulfilling a dream to see the country. I started from Seattle and headed toward Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, etc. I spent 4 months traversing Canada and than traveled down the east coast. Since mid-2000 I've volunteered at national and state parks, met someone to travel with, spent 6 months in Alaska and six in Baja, and everywhere in-between. I now live in north-central Arizona and continue to take extended trips whenever I need a diversion.
I started with a point-and-shoot Olympus to track my initial trip, and fell in love with photography. I now have a Nikon D300 with many of the accessories and have had to learn a lot more to operate it. It's fun!
