I like to shoot outdoor photos. I am really glad I joined Better Photo. The encouragement of the other members and the challenge of coming up with new images for the contest keeps me actively trying to learn. I can see some gradual improvement in my skills which makes it fun. Sharing ideas with the other members is a the best tool for learning that I have found.

I live in Washington, Missouri and work in St. Louis. I am married to a wonderful hard-working lady, Sheilah. We have 4 children together. I have two children from a previous marriage and I also have two stepsons who I think of as my own. I love the outdoors spend a lot of time in the woods hunting in the spring and fall. I also like to fish, especially trout fishing in remote beautiful clear streams around our state.
I don't have very much money invested in my photography hobby. I use an old Nikon D80 camera and a used D90 I added a couple of years ago. I run my photos through Photoshop to adjust them, but have learned not to get too involved in using filters except to make minor adjustments.
I love shooting outdoor scenery, but don't do well with portraits and people shots.
