Bio

Welcome and thank you for viewing these pages. Since I started photography a few years ago, it has become an essential way to experience life as an active rather than passive participant.

As such, photography is a continual process of discovery, initiated by each familiar click of the shutter button. With light as the primary medium, capturing and shaping it begins a meditative journey during which each image becomes a reflection of the people, animals, or places I have interacted with. The images on this site are the fruit of an long process of optimizing tones, colors, and sharpness, without artificially changing the true essence of a scene.

My travels have provided me with the chance to deepen my understanding of the world, a quest that continues and which I hope goes well beyond any preconceived notions I still hold. I hope with this site to share an intimate view of aspects of our world that are much more positive than our current media culture tends to project.
