I guess I'm what you might call a backyard photographer, most of the photos I take are in my own yard, although I do like to take my camera along with me and shoot in other places as well.
My favorite subjects to shoot are birds, wildlife, and flowers.
My interest in photography started when I was a child, after seeing some amazing macro shots (I have yet to get the macro lens I want) I always wanted to take a photography class but found the classes too expensive, when I was finally able to afford decent equipment, I found that I could learn a lot about photography online. Better Photo was one of the first places I found and I read everything I could find on the site, and it realy helped me improve as a photographer. I also found having my photos critiqued by other photographers to be a huge help. I still have plenty to learn, and hope to one day start selling some of my work, so I can get my hands on that macro lens, and invest in more equipment for my camera.
