Photography is the vehicle I choose to recreate the childhood wonderment of fantasy and escape. It awards me great pleasure to capture unique moments in time and display them for eternity.

My Dad gave me my first SLR when I was 15. I carried it everywhere, even during my stint as a grunt in Nam. I shot mostly slides back then because it was cheaper than prints. I've been shooting ever since.
After getting married and three kids, with time scarce, I found myself taking mostly snapshots. But my love of photography remained strong and I picked it up from time to time through the years.
When the nest emptied and digital became popular my interest grew strong once again. Using my old Minolta SLR and a 3mp point & shoot digital I waited for prices to wane a bit. Then after lots of homework and mind haggling I bought my Nikon D200 with a 18-200 AF-S DX VR Zoom-Nikkor in January.
My love for the art is back with a vengeance. With Photoshop CS2 and my D200, I’m in digital bliss shooting my way into photo heaven. If only I had this… (you know the rest).
My greatest pleasure comes from photographing my grandchildren, 4 at last count. However, I just get ideas and go with them. I’m learning as I go and Better Photo has been a great guide. The fellow photogs I’ve met here have been helpful and inspirational.
I look forward to adding to this gallery, editing some old stuff and adding new, and hope you’ll join me for the ride. Thanks for looking.
