Bio

Hi. I am Carol and have an 12 yr old son Justin. We have 2 cats and 1 little dog, whose photos you will see in my gallery. We live in FL near Tampa. I am a certified teacher in AL and FL and currently looking for a teaching position after recently graduating college as a non-traditional student. I have always loved art and photography, drawing as a teenager and taking photos as far back as I can remember. However, I rarely took photos as art, usually just capturing memories for my photo album. Since moving to FL (for the 2nd time) and buying my first digital camera, I became interested in photography all over again. I began with a Coolpix 4100, taking mostly photos of sunsets. It didn't take long for me to realize the limitations of my point and shoot, so in June 2006, I bought an Olympus EVOLT E-500, my first SLR. Although I have been a member of BP since March 2006, I am still learning new things about photography. I have made many friends on BP, and all of you have encouraged and inspired me! Many BP members have helped me along the way with critiques and supportive comments! I have learned so much in the 3 years I have been a member!

Also, I shoot locally in and around Tampa/St Pete and northward, so if you are interested in making an appt for portraits of your family, children, pets, etc, please contact me using the contact button.
