I have been getting more interested in photography for the past several years. When I got my Olympus C-5050Z, I began to get more serious about it. I recently upgraded from a Digital Rebel to a Canon 20D and hope to improve my skills to match the equipment!
I like to take a lot of sunset and landscape shots here in Central Illinois - the land of corn and flatness! When I first moved here I thought that the landscape was boring, but now I am have grown to appreciate the striking qualities of a LONG horizon! (Just about the longest horizon available without water to look out across! :)

Though I am originally from the "Thumb" area of Michigan, I currently live in Central Illinois. (the land of corn and flatness... but also great sunsets!)
My first love is nature photography, particularly landscape and "rural scenic" work (in other words: Barns!). The past couple of years I have been trying to capture some of the disappearing rural architecture here in Central Illinois (read: Old Barns) before it falls to the developer's bulldozer and becomes subdivisions. More recently I have begun doing more macro and wildlife photography with very mixed results.
I also do a good deal of sports photography, mostly of my kids' sporting events.
I have also started to do some portrait work and did one very informal wedding as a favor to a friend. Most of that work will not be on-line however.
I recently started my own website where pictures are available for sale. I offer professional photographic services ranging from fine art to portrait work to "Action sports photography" including on-site printing for sports tournaments. For details, see my new site at:
