I have seven children, and when they were small I bought a Canon AE-1 Program to take snapshots of them. I realized that many pros were using that camera, so I decided to learn how to use it and take the best pictures I could. I started taking some courses and reading everything I could to learn photography, and I still do.
For 5 years my husband and I published a magazine for the Chicagoland country music market. I took thousands of concert photos. I have had photos published in tour books around the world.
I now have 8 grandchildren and I enjoy getting good shots of them that their parents can enjoy.
After shooting with my AE-1 Program and AE-1 for about 15 years, I purchased an EOS Elan II about two years ago. I added a Canon Powershot G2 digital camera to my gear in February, 2003. In November, 2003, I upgraded my digital gear to the Canon Digital Rebel with its 18-55mm lens. All my EOS lenses are compatible with this camera and I can now enjoy the advantages of digital imaging with the control of an SLR.
I upgraded my camera equipment from the Digital Rebel to the Canon 20D in July, 2005. This camera will allow me to concentrate on portraits, weddings and model portfolios.
