Some changes took place in my life, and my cat Hercules and I moved from Bakersfield, California, to the central California town of Paso Robles in early 2006. We then moved to the California coastal town of Cambria in 2007.
I became involved in various areas of photography and video production beginning with my college photography class days in the late '60s and continuing through two jobs with local television stations doing news production in the '70s and '80s, and finishing with my last photography job as an educational video producer from 1985 until 1990 with the local high school district.
I was away from photography and video production for 14 years, and started shooting again for fun with a new Nikon 5700 in December of 2003. That was followed by a Nikon 8700 in March of 2004. I moved to DSLR shooting with the purchase of a Canon Digital Rebel 300D in May 2004, then a Nikon D70 which I bought at the end of August, 2004. I moved on to a pair of Nikon D50's in 2005. Those D50's served me well.
I am enjoying the challenge of cleaning the cobwebs from my mind, and seeing the world through the eyes of a photographer again. I hope you find some enjoyment in viewing what I have been lucky enough to see and capture on digital media, and to see my art progress along the way.
Thank you, Rob Bishop
