Hello everyone! My name is Molly Baldwin, and I've been a member on this site for about a year now. I really started getting interested in photography when I was about 13. I got my first semi-professional camera, the Olympus C-765, and I would snap shots of everything. When I got involved with this website, and was about 15, I still had that camera but was just starting to get into Adobe Photoshop 7.0. I still have loads to learn about that, but I'm gaining inspiration from many of the amazing photographers on this site who are proficient at the program. For my birthday last year I got a step-up from my first camera. The camera that I am currently using is the Olympus SP-550UZ. While this is still a point-and-shoot digital camera, I find myself wanting more of the control that an slr has to offer. So I have just recently purchased a Pentax K200D digital slr. I haven't gotten it in the mail yet, but I'm very anxious to start using it once I do.
I enjoy taking pictures of just about everything. Some of the more fun subjects, like my dog Scooter, are what I originally started off shooting. Now I find myself wanting to get better at portraits, abstracts, and especially landscapes. I'm hoping that the slr will help me a little with that.
I'm still undecided as to what I will do with photography in the future- whether it will remain a hobby, or become a major part of my life. I will continue to try and learn as much as possible, though, in the meantime from this website and some of the users that I have come to know. Thank you for taking the time to look at my gallery. I am open to any critiques from anyone.
