Description

My Favorite Place to visit.

My Dad always took me and my family
to the mountains on vacation.
Up until he got sick and passed away.
We would stand for hours looking at the beautiful views. I go back to the mountains as often as I can.
The memories it brings back and the feeling of peace it gives me is so wonderful.

Amanda, I don't know how close to the Smokies you are, but we lived in Pulaski, TN and in north AL when I was growing up and my dad took us here every year for vacation. I used to beg to go to FL and see the ocean, and often, he would say we would go, only to change his mind at the last minute and head for the mtns again. He must have really loved it there because that is the only place he wanted to go. We did finally make it to FL one vacation when I was 9 (and it was a disaster too) and that was the only time. My son was born in Knoxville, TN, and we lived 45 minutes from Sevierville and went to the mtns a lot. In fact, I was just there in Nov. during the Thanksgiving holidays. I'll have to see if I can post one of my mtn shots soon. Great shot, and I love the layers on layers of mtns you see. #8569665
