BOLD!!!

Remember the red bridge from a previous photo? Well, this is the covered bridge in the same area.

Having some issues with getting the snow white and it not being blown out. Ideas would be appreciated......before I toss the computer out the window. #1226368Teresa H. Hunt January 13, 2010 0
Christie I really love this photo!! The bright red against the snow is stunning. To me the snow looks fine . . . but I haven't put my contacts in yet today. :) #8294402Debbra Bailey January 13, 2010 0
Christie, this certainly IS bold! lol I did not notice that the snow was off. It IS gray, but really white might be too much???? Sorry! I would start by using the adjustment slider if you want to try lighening it.One thought I do have is that the image seems to need to be tilted just a tad to the left. I feel it leans to the right as is.. Could just be me! lol #8294435

Very BOLD, very nice. I'm thinking much whiter and it might be too much. I love the contrast as it is. We just don't have covered bridges around here so you are very lucky to be able to photography these. #8294709Joan E. Hoffman January 13, 2010 0
Excellent Christie... and I agree the Snow is just fine as is. I have never seen outside of movies and photograpy a covered bridge ... other than the iron girder variety! How fortunate you are to have such a great subject! #8294870

Well I'm not sure those directions were for white snow, but what the heck...you could try it anyway! I think it looks just fine as is and I really like this version of it. That color really stands out and I like how there is a hint of color in the leaves on that foreground tree. :~) #8295480

I don't think it needs to be whiter but the adjustment slider is where I would start too if you want it a little different.
I love the shot as presented with a great POV and very nice depth to the shot. The color looks great and as Aimee said I love the hint of color in the FG tree. Beautiful scene and beautifully photographed. #8295567

Christie, this is a lovely shot and I think the snow looks great. There is a bit of blow out but that can easily be fixed by opening the image in the raw editor and sliding the recovery slider to the right. (Thanks for turning me onto that Mike)Deb is correct on the tilt but it is really slight. Use the vertical on the left side of the bridge opening for reference. Would also suggest while in the raw editor, to increase the clarity slider to the right and decrease the saturation just a tad.
Love this shot with it's nice contrast and interesting composition. Well done. #8297013
