Nice, well composed shot, Raman !
The flower is called Zephyranthus, or Zephyr Lily. It is a bulbous grass like plant, which flowers during rainy season in tropics. A single flower is borne on a 8-10" stalk coming out right from the ground. If my description of the plant is correct, the name is also correct.
