Fantastic portrait! I can see the drive and determination in his eyes. I just read about this young man the other day in our local paper :) #262700Janet Williams June 13, 2005
Yes this is a really powerful image with lots of emotional impact. The angle and perspective add to the determined 'no-messing-with-me' feel to the picture, as does the menacing sky in the background. Great image, well done. #1464792Lori Carlson June 13, 2005
Wow Jay! You did awesome with this! :0) It's everything you could want in a photograph! :0) #1465381Terry L. Ellis June 13, 2005
I agree with what the others have said, Jay! It is very dramatic! #1465584Jay Soldner June 13, 2005
Thanks for all of your compliments, sometimes on a sports feature assignment the subject understands the image a photographer is trying to convey. This young man seemed to understand exactly what I was after - and he gave a look of determination and dedication that cannot be contrived, all I did was push the buttons ;->. Also, God helped out beyond my hopes with the pre-storm sky. #1465705Wendy Jones June 13, 2005
This is a wonderful shot! I agree with all of the other comments. #1466433Tiffani S. LaNeave June 13, 2005
