Like Bill, I simply LOVE this photograph, Kara. The composition, the POV, the lines, the patterns, the colors and the choice of filters used make this a beautiful image and perfect for the Monthly Theme.

Looks great. I love the way the elements of this simple image combine to suggest a story. We see at a glance a young girl all dressed up with someplace to go. What I like best is the way her in-turned feet and clasped hands suggest both uncertainty and quiet determination. As others have said, it's just right for New Beginnings. #8268455

There are several I love among your January entries, Kara, but I'm rooting for this one. I love the way it manages to suggest so much with so little. Others that caught my eye were 'Balletic' -- the minimalist composition is graceful and lovely there; 'Country'; 'A New Journey'; and 'Facetious' which I really do think should go on.
