I have just come across this Ronald and I am late for the holiday but I am sure going to be early to wish you and family a Happy Christmas for the next one.
As a Cornishman it might be of some small interest to you that in my home county we hang horse-shoes the other way up! It is said in folklore that hanging it the way you have shown, 'prevents the luck from running out' but we Cornish thought that this way up would 'let the devil ride on the horns' Yup! We are different!. #8401242
