Contrast

Uploaded: December 03, 2009

Description

Taken early morning at the Davey Dogwood Park in Palestine, Texas. Manual settings f/9, 1/80sec and iso 200. Does anyone know what it is? I searched this one sight and looked through 92 pages approx 2800 insects yes I am not exaggerated and I was pretty creeped out by a lot of those things and could not find out what this is so I titled it contrast becuase it is bright green and alive and the leaf is dark and dead LOL

Exif: F Number: 9, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/80 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 200, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 70.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS DIGITAL REBEL XTi

WHAT? Someone already guess this WHAZZIT? HA!

Dang! David is -GOOD-!!

I was going to say that I didn't know it's NAME but I am pretty sure I saw it on LOST IN SPACE in the 60's! About a million of them chasing the Robinson's as they all rushed back to the spaceship. Hee, hee...

What a great find and YES! Love the CONTRAST, too, Cassie!!!

Good placement in the frame, nice details, color, and exposure..
GREAT CONTRAST too :)
Looks like a Spiny Oak Slug (Euclea delphinii), usually found in late summer and fall.
It's a member of the Stinging Caterpillars family..Ouch ;-}
Well done! #8190297
