We took wonderful shots today of The Flannel Flower
which is a Protected Native Species of Australia and The
floral emblem chosen for New South Wales where we all live.
Taken around 4pm, on a very hot summers day. We met up with
Australian John C. and his good wife Margaret. Graham and I feel
priveledged, it is wonderful when BP'ers meet up!
Graham took the Macro as he pinched my lens! When the flower
is felt it's like flannel - hence the name. ~Pat

Thanks for a wonderful relaxing happy day, Margaret and I really enjoyed your bright company, although the hot day was taking its toll on us by the end of the day, 35ºC/98ºF is out of our comfort zone!

Pat and Graham- What makes this one so beautiful is the purity of the white. Not always easy to get that but you did a fantastic job of capturing its beauty. Gorgeous compositon, beautiful defined details which bring out the textures. Excellent lighting and clarity.Tiia Vissak November 04, 2009

Great shot of the Flannel Flower, you were very lucky to find one. Good to hear you had a good day out with John & Margaret, I wish Tony & I could havae made it, especially when there was entertainment. I guess it was hot enough to go in the pool. Good one=^..^= #8107057Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
