Eve was abandoned and left to die. Her illness was akin to the human disease, GERD, but much, much worse. She could not keep any food down at all.
--
But Eve was a lucky dog because someone found her and brought her to the Animal Shelter where she was adopted by a caring, loving couple, who is nursing her back to good health.

At the Delaware County SPCA chapter's "Bark in the Park" annual Fall Festival on October 31. It rained all day; I photographed Eve as she relaxed in a makeshift "nest" under one of the booth tables.
