The Drover's Dog

Uploaded: October 20, 2009

Description

Taken at a obedience club, late afternoon. I spotted the dog tethered to a truck -- as soon as I saw it I knew the title! All I had to do was extract the dog out of the distracting background and pop it into another one, a shot I took of the Australian countryside at Brunkerville NSW.

I used the smudge brush and added a Topaz filter for good measure so it looked like the one scene. ~Pat

Hey Little Sister, thank you for dropping in!

It is a very pretty dog, I got a few other shots but the background is pretty crook! I might be able to fix it.

Thanks again lala. ~Pat #8051825

Pat, you've done a really wonderful job capturing and editing this image...and I just LOVED hearing Slim singing, too!! (He was one of my father-in-law's favourite singers!!) :o)

This dog is gorgeous...and I would never have known that you replaced the background had you not told us!! You also couldn't have chosen a better background to put in here - the countryside around Brunkerville is just 'magic', isn't it?!! :o)

That area is actually just up and over The Gap, about 15 minutes' drive away, from where we live overlooking Lake Macquarie!! ;o) #8051876

Hi there Carolyn, gee thank you!

Your father in law must be John Connolly?

I am about to post him to set a date to meet up and photo the Pelicans being fed at the Entrance.

Fancy you living our way, Brunkerville is so pretty, we live near Gosford.

Best Wishes.
