Why thank you, Janelle! Actually my office is at the base of the mountains that you're looking at in this photo, which is about 3 miles as the seagull flies :-) This photo is just cropped. The original has a lot more sky and water but they didn't add to the picture so I chopped it down to put the focus on the mirror image. #67780

Wow! Thank you all for your very genorous comments! Guess I must have done the right thing with this one! I have a few others that I took at the same time from different angles looking at different parts of the valley, but with the same type of reflections. I might post another one, but I don't want to ruin a good thing by oversaturating :-)

Lem; I used the only camera I have, my Sony DSC-F707, and the exposure info is: f8.0, 1/640, no filters, no zoom. Thank you for your comment!

Pat; Looks like you were typing at the same time I was. I really appreciate your comment as conveying a sense of "being there" is what I strive for most. It's very difficult to do with the limitation of the small entry format. Thats why I like the panoramas so much. It allows one to 'turn their head' and see more of the scene like you can when you're standing there. #68130

Believe me, these places are far more beautiful than I am capable of portraying. If I could shoot in true 3D and everyone had virtual viewers I maybe could come close, but I'm afraid that technology is still out of reach for most of us! #83878
